Our Team - Nurse Practitioners

Nurse providing child a check upNurse Practitioners (NPs) are registered nurses with master’s degree education and certification in Primary Health Care.

Our nurse practitioners work independently, meaning they do not require supervision, within our interdisciplinary team of health care providers to help keep you healthy.  They take care of individuals and entire families through every stage of life, from pregnant mothers and children through to older adulthood.  Our nurse practitioners are also able to offer home visits for our clients who can't leave their homes.

At Four Villages our nurse practitioners see people for many types of visits that aren't emergencies. For example: regular check-ups; care for when you’re really sick; vaccinations; cancer screening (eg. PAP smear); medication prescriptions; and minor procedures like IUD insertion or skin biopsies. Along with regular health visits, they help people living with stable but chronic conditions by providing on-going treatment, support and monitoring, and consult with or refer to doctors and specialists when necessary. Our nurse practitioners and doctors work closely with our entire team of providers to coordinate your care when you need it.
